One armed push ups or parallel bar dips?
which one is better for strong triceps?
Well, it depedns on the risks of each versus benefit. Both of these exercises involve a high risk for the shoulder joint, instead I suggest you try Off set push ups with one arm on a medicine ball and one on the floor, or better yet a Stability Ball push up with your arms closer together on the ball, feet on the floor. Bar Dips can be done safely as long as you do not go beyone 90% at the shoulder joint before you put your shoulder is a closed pack position places a lot of stress on the structure of the GH joint in addition to that you have an internal rotoation action where your scapula and upper middle back muscles can no longer effectivly stabilize your shoulder blades are therefore increasing the upper back or risk for cervical compression of cervical discs, ect .. Now it all happens and a lot of people do Dips every day and not be injured, is the year to do the exercises increases repetative stress that the structure and subsequent damage or weakness or poor postural aliognment will present themselves. So when ever chosing an exercise always look at your goals first and then assess the risk versus benefit, since your goal is to work your triceps in the most effective way that I can only assume you hope To do this without putitng unneccasry stress to the shoulder joint. So off set ush UPS w / medicine ball Stabiliy ball push ups or dips Bar with appropriate Biomechanics (and be careful how deep you go) when you make a dive bar only go as low as you can maintain good posture head shoulder blades back and not elevated, and no rolling forward or intenral rotation in the shoulder, so it becomes a far more effective exercise for working the triceps, while limiting the amount of risk upper back and shoulder joint.
