Thermal Resistance? How can a pipe to be hotter than the fluid flowing through it?
If air is flowing through a tube with a temp of 435 K and outlet temp of 465 K how the tube wall can be constant at a temp of 477.6 K. problem, says that talking about thermal resistance. It is also the question whether these conditions are realistic, I do not think so, but I'm not sure.
Since the temperature of the air is increasing as it flows through the pipe (435 K temp. & 465 K outlet temp), which means that the pipe wall is heated by some source ouside of it. This tube can be located inside a heat exchanger which has a circulating fluid temp at 477.6 K, which includes pipe hot.
